In this section we provide you with some typical technical drawings of lighting control systems and energy management systems projects.
Energy management projects
The Chomedey project
This 13 stories high-class apartment building was built with a Cristal Controls energy management system. The system controls every apartment load, basement load, and common areas load in the building. 160 Cristal Controls’ room sensors with display were supplied. Moreover, 160 blind room sensors link to the display room sensor to independently control the second load. A Watch room-by-room security system was also supplied. The use of Cristal Controls’ energy management system can reduce the electric bill by 25% as well as perform effective peak control of the building.

Lighting control projects
Centrium project
In the Centrium project, the building manager chose Cristal Controls. As the lighting control system’ seven relays panels link with a twisted pair of wire back to the famous Cristal Controls’ Saturn control software, the system is 100 % automated using weekly schedules, week-end schedules, and holidays schedules. Beside the schedules, each panel has two local switches to override schedules for either maintenance or employees that need to work overtime.
Connacher Oil Gas
The Connacher Oil & Gas project forms part of the Centrium office building, located in Calgary. The Connacher Oil & Gas society chose to link itself to the Trane control society Lonwork’s network that was already installed, in order to ensure to the whole building a user-friendly type of control. During the building layout, the electrician chose Cristal Controls as a provider of a Lonwork’s lighting control system, which already had proved its compatibility to the Trane Lonwork’s scanners.
Trilogy Energy project
The Trilogy Energy project is a perfect example of system integration. Cristal Controls was selected by the building automation system main integrator to supply lighting control panels and link these panels with Trane Controls. Cristal Controls has supplied Lonwork’s switching relays panels.
